How is this jewellery for dogs made?
With great attention to detail, each piece handcrafted and made individually. Most pieces take between 4-6 hours to finalise due to design process and techniques, an intentional variety of textures and finishes incorporated into tiny pieces, multiple curing stages for added uniqueness, embellishment and finishing processes.

What materials are used? 
A high quality UV resin is used, embellishments are resin and alloy, using stainless steel as preference when this is available for any particular item. Rhinestone embellishments are glass crystal (and meticulously secured and sealed into position, another of the reasons why multiple curing stages are carried out). Natural abalone shell is used for portrait pendants for humans. 

Split, jump and spring rings are made of stainless steel.

Sterling silver 925 bails are used for human pendants.

My dog is a chewer, will the jewel tags be suitable?
Individual needs should be considered whilst wearing the jewels. Embellishments can be completely embedded for extra hard-wearing if needed, please request this and any recommendations whilst considering a bespoke creation. Jewels of Chiwi will advise case by case.

My pet is a cat, which jewel tags could be suitable for them?
Please enquire for a bespoke piece, almost anything is possible! Jewels of Chiwi is delighted to tailor a jewel to your pet's specific needs whether it be sizing, robustness, or any other detail. For bespoke jewel tags, embellishments can also be fully embedded leaving a totally smooth surface should that be a preference.

I like an existing jewel tag available on the website, can I personalise it?
Yes you can! Personalisation to an existing piece would consist of adding an initial. In some cases, further embellishments (rhinestones, resin charms, may be added. Please enquire prior or at the time of purchase.

For additional embellishments to existing jewel tags, please enquire regarding the possibilities.

I would like a totally unique and bespoke jewel tag for my dog. I'm looking for a personalised charm for their collar, one that reflects their personality and individual style. Is this possible?
Absolutely, yes! Jewels of Chiwi was born for precisely this. We simply cannot wait to create a jewel tag especially for your dog. And, if you love twinning, matching necklace pendants are also possible. Human pendants can have a slight variation to give individuality which is part of the Jewels of Chiwi design style. 

For bespoke pieces, is anything possible? 
Yes, almost anything! Please reach out with a message including any details about your beloved pet. Helpful inspirations include: their preferences, quirks or habits, personal style, how you would like the piece to make you and the wearer feel. We love viewing your social media profiles (if you have them) to get an event better idea of your pet. Sending us photos also works! Feel free to peruse Jewels of Chiwi items on the website or visit @_jewelsofchiwi_ on Instagram if there are any particular details or looks that have inspired you. Jewels of Chiwi will come up with a design concept and pricing proposal which you can then purchase by selecting the corresponding 'bespoke' option on the website. Don't worry if you don't have any of the above details, at Jewels of Chiwi we are delighted to make suggestions. 

Bespoke pricing will depend on the detail and time to make your special jewel tag for dogs or pendant for humans.

Sizing of the jewel tags for dogs, which shape or size might be most suitable?

My dog is tiny and has a deliciously scrawny neck. I'm looking for a delicate jewel tag that is lightweight but has all the fashion drama full of sparkles and fun!

My dog is huge and I'm looking for a new charm for their collar, a jewel tag that makes a statement!

My dog has short legs and sniffs the floor a lot, will the jewel tag drag along the floor?

Dimensions of each item are included in the description of each jewel tag as well as the e weight of each piece as photographed. Sizing suggestions are also included in each description.

Jewels of Chiwi artworks can be made for any size dog/pet. It's important to consider sizing whilst taking your pet's behaviours into consideration. Each jewel tag is made of fully cured UV resin which is extremely durable. Our own model, Ponchi, spends a lot of time sniffing low and dragging and collar charm along the floor at times. This has not caused any visible damage, however, some additional transparent layering can also be added to the bottom of any tag should you have any concerns. 

We can create a jewel tag for any size dog. So many shapes, styles and combinations are  possible, please enquire for a bespoke piece. 

Jewels for teeny tiny puppers/ smaller pets or those with scrumptiously boney, skinny and scrawny necks are absolutely possible, these are of smaller dimensions as well as embellishment weight being taken into consideration for maximum comfort and style.

Can you make jewel pendants for cats?
Yes! Please message us with a size and any preferred shape for a bespoke creation. Keep in mind this would be a jewel tag as opposed to an ID tag (which would include contact details etc).

Are the jewels heavy?
Not at all. Pieces are made with toy and small dogs in mind. Pieces with more rhinestones or embellishments and additional mounted bases may add a little more weight than those that hold less. The description of each piece will include the weight of each piece as photographed and visible on the website so you can evaluate as much information as possible. Jewels of Chiwi can also recommend what might be most suitable for your darling pet, just send us a message.

My beloved pet passed away, can you you embed their fur/ teeth/ ashes into a jewel for me?

If I sign up for email updates, will I be spammed and emailed a million times a day?
No way! Only occasional and the most important updates will be shared with those who wish to receive news. Most likely this will occur 'once in a blue moon' given one member of Jewels of Chiwi is more of a 'passive muse' when it comes to doing the work!
